Overview
We integrate control systems for water-treatment plant builders and for industrial clients directly. Either way, the target is the same: automated dosing and monitoring that meets consent conditions every day, not only on the day of inspection.
In practice
An ETP or STP is a compliance asset before it is a process one. The control system's job is to keep the discharge inside consent and to be able to demonstrate it later: pH, TSS, COD and flow logged continuously, dosing pumps trimmed against live analyser feedback rather than a fixed timer, and every setpoint change attributed to a user. When a pollution board queries a reading, the answer should be a report, not a recollection.
For RO plants the economics sit in the recovery and the membranes. We monitor differential pressure and normalised permeate flow to schedule CIP on evidence instead of a calendar, and interlock the high-pressure pump against low feed pressure and out-of-range pH so a membrane stack is not damaged by a fault upstream. Remote alarming matters here too — most of these plants run unattended overnight, which is exactly when a dosing pump fails.
